March 20, 2021

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

Sharing some good news! All of our first round testing for Residents and Staff came back negative in both Skilled Nursing and Personal Care. Because no additional COVID-19 cases were identified, according to the guidance issued by CMS on March 10, 2021 for Indoor Visitation during an Outbreak, we can and will resume indoor visitation. Visitation in Skilled Nursing and Personal Care will resume tomorrow, Sunday March 21, 2021, with social distancing and masks please. Use the sign up genius to schedule your visits for Skilled Nursing. Personal Care and Independent Living visits can occur with no more than 2 visitors at a time in individual apartments and no visitation or gathering with visitors in communal areas.
Another round of testing will occur next week for residents residing in Skilled Nursing and Personal Care along with the staff testing. Please note the Bucks County Positivity rate has risen again this week from 6.7 to 7.5, which is certainly not the right direction. Bucks County has the highest rate in the 5 county area and higher than the Pennsylvania average.
We will be doing some outdoor work next week, power washing and setting up some newly purchased furniture for residents and their guests to enjoy. We anticipate we will have everything ready by Easter weekend!
We also will be starting work on the small paver courtyard next to the main entrance in the near future. The stump will be ground, the pavers will be lifted and reset, and some landscaping will be done to beautify the space and make it more usable and comfortable for residents and visitors.

Spring has sprung at WEL Doylestown! Have a great weekend!

Warm Regards,
Maureen
