Ribbon Cutting – 40 years

Yesterday, in the main lobby, we enjoyed a celebration event commemorating the 5th renovation project for Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown, completed in August of 2020, as well as a recognition of 40 years of service in Doylestown.  Of course, we owe much to the work teams who put together the components of the afternoon.  Thanks also to the planning group participants:  Karen Doler, Eric Confer Martens, Amanda Maxwell, Lisa Haino.

Among the honored guests were CEO, Jeff Petty who recognized Lenhardt-Rodgers Architects, and representatives from Benchmark Construction the primary actors for renovations to the first floor, upper floor common areas and dining area redesign.

Jack O’Brien and Elnora West [President and Vice President of Borough Council], also representing the Mayor Ron Strouse, presented a “Proclamation in Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown:”    “…Now, Therefore, I call upon our entire Doylestown community to join in celebrating Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown’s 40 year history of engagement in Doylestown as well as enhancements and improvements that have become part of the culture of Wesley.”  Ron Strouse, Mayor.

Jacqueline Dyer, representing The Honorable Brian Fitzpatrick [US Representative, PA 1st District], presented a commemoration of renovation improvements and 4 decades of service, along with a flag that flew over the Capitol building in Washington DC.

These items can be viewed in the main lobby behind the front desk.

Agnes Hebling, President of the Resident Council, took the time to congratulate and thank the staff at Doylestown for the program and recognition.  It was a great time and “the food was astounding.”

Covid-19

It appears that the positivity rate increase has eased slightly.  Any sign of improvement is good.  But we remain vigilant.    Today, Bucks County positivity infection rate is 7.7%.

The Leadership Team, in our weekly discussions, began to think in terms of new restrictions in the event that the positivity rate reaches 10%.  We have not established the guidelines yet but want you to know that our concern continues and we are watching closely.  At this point the plan remains, that mealtimes remain closed to visitors and family members.   Visitors to apartments and nursing rooms is permitted but visitors are always required to wear masks.
