Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
One of our Residents in Stapeley West tested positive this week. Please be reminded that you are required to wear your mask at all times in public spaces with the exception of the dining room. As a community we all need to follow the guidelines to protect and keep safe everyone living here.
On Monday, 8/23/2021, the FDA granted full approval to the Pfizer COVID vaccine. I am taking this opportunity to again ask anyone that has not been vaccinated to please get your vaccine. You can obtain your vaccine through the following link: https://www.vaccines.gov/search/. If we all do our share, we may be able to avoid the re-implementation of all the restrictions that were in place in 2020. As of this same date, inside visitation are not be permitted to anyone not fully vaccinated. You may visit through scheduled visits in our pre-determined locations, video calls, in our garden, or phone calls.
There has also been a change to the recommendations for booster vaccinations, and they are going to be required in the long-term care population and for health care workers. Our pharmacy partner, Friendship Pharmacy, has already been in communication with us and will be providing the booster shots for Residents and Employees. This will begin with all of those originally vaccinated in February. I will update you as more information becomes available.
