Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
Wow, things are really looking good. The infection rate in Philadelphia is down to 4.6%. The new guidance on May 13th from CDC regarding mask wearing indoors is great news; bear in mind it does not apply to our community. For now you will still need to wear your mask while in public areas throughout our home. We are seeking additional guidance regarding the impact of this ruling on Independent Living and will share that information ASAP. DOH has adopted the new CDC guidelines and effective immediately if you, your Resident and your Resident’s roommate are fully vaccinated (at least two weeks past your second vaccine) you may visit them in their Health Care Center room without scheduling an appointment. You will need to show proof of vaccination at each visit. We do ask that you go directly to your Family member’s room and refrain from entering the dining room, living room, etc. Children may visit outside in our garden.
If you or your Family Member here are still not vaccinated, I again urge you to consider doing so. We are able to provide either the J&J or Moderna vaccine. I think we can anticipate additional significant lifting of restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated. Here is the link to register to receive your vaccine through our pharmacy:
