Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
The positivity rate for Montgomery County decreased last week to 8.1% from 8.7%. Everything that we do hinges on the county positivity rate. Hopefully the rate will continue to move downward and keep us all at a safe level.
We have no new resident or employee COVID-19 positive cases. We did have a concern when one of our fully vaccinated residents was tested at a health care facility with a rapid test and the result was positive. The rapid test was obviously wrong when the results of a PCR test revealed “Not Detected”. The CDC is releasing new criteria on a weekly and sometimes daily basis regarding the guidelines for exposure and testing. The greatest protection from the virus and the severity of the virus is to become fully vaccinated and maintain distance from other people.
We are continuing to gradually revive our activity calendars to include an array of activities and events that should encourage residents to come out and enjoy the socialization that Upper Moreland has to offer. Please watch for May’s activity calendar, we have included some new events and have some special occurrences planned.
The visitation policy remains in effect. There has been one slight change with allowing pets with proper documentation of vaccinations being able to visit residents in their apartments. If you are expecting pet guests please have the documentation to provide to Upper Moreland for us to maintain on file at Upper Moreland.
Satisfaction Survey:
The 2021 Resident Satisfaction Survey is currently available to be completed on line the link for the survey is: https://forms.gle/W9TvAJSgoLLMtWTb8
We encourage you to complete the survey between today April 19th and for the next two weeks ending on May 2nd. We look forward to your participation in the survey.
Personal Care:
Personal Care Residents who have been fully vaccinated are allowed visitors in their apartments and are able to leave the community. We advise residents to not go out overnight and be mindful of who you are with and wear your mask.
Residents who are not fully vaccinated within the past 14 days are only allowed to leave for medical appointments and are able to schedule Compassionate Care Visits in the chapel. Resident friends & family members can schedule visits for two visitors in the chapel with residents for up to 1 hour, must wear masks, with Plexiglas divider between them. Compassionate Care visits are scheduled in advance by calling the receptionist (215) 675-0103.
Thank you and stay WEL!
