With the current number of IL residents who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 and those who are quarantined as a result of contact with those who have tested positive, we are taking the following measures.

These measures are intended to limit the possibility of exposure to our residents and staff.

Visitation:

Upper Moreland is closed to all visitation except medical personnel. We have seen the effects of COVID 19 within our community and the community at large and we do not want you to expose yourself unnecessarily. We are trying to keep you and our staff as healthy and safe as possible.

Leaving Upper Moreland Property:

You may only leave WEL Upper Moreland property for medically necessary physician visits.

Transportation: Only residents who are not quarantined may be transported to medically necessary appointments by Upper Moreland transportation.

If you leave the Upper Moreland property for hospitalization or spend time in another healthcare facility you will be required to quarantine for 14 days.

Residents are not allowed to leave Upper Moreland property for any other reasons.

Drop Offs and Deliveries:

Groceries and other necessities may be delivered by families or delivery service to the vestibule. Our staff will conduct contactless deliveries to your apartments. Items may also be placed at the vestibule for pickup by families.

Grocery items may be ordered from Dining Services.

Dining Services:

Corner Stone Dining Room:

All meal service is delivery only.

Delivery will be contact free delivery service.

All meals will be delivered between 4-5 pm (we will start with the first floor and cottages and move on to the second, third and fourth floors).

Deliveries will be left outside of doors.

Staff are to knock, leave the bag and step 6 ft. away.

Bistro

You may come to the Bistro for Grab and Go meals or to place an order.

No one is allowed to stay or stand at the Bistro.

All ordered meal service is delivery only.

Village Faire:

Village Faire will remain open. Only the shop volunteer and 1 customer at a time are allowed in the shop.

Mail Room:

To keep prevent crowding in the Mail Room the following schedule is to be followed for Mail pick up.

Activities:

Activity packets are available for those residents who are interested. Please call (215) 302-3749 for any activity related needs.

Chaplain:

Anyone who desires to talk with our chaplain, Erin, please call (215) 302-3745.

Health and Wellness:

All Residents: If you experience ANY symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue You Must inform the Wellness Center and contact your personal physician. For staff members if you experience any of the symptoms please contact your supervisor.

Residents, If you are ill and/or in the process of being tested for COVID-19 you are to inform the Wellness Center and remain confined to your apartment. Once you receive results from testing please notify the Wellness Center.

If you have had a visit or visited anyone in the past 14 days who have tested positive or who have COVID-19 symptoms please notify our Resident Services Manager, Craig Vinciguerra, at 215-302-3750 to enable contact tracing. This is imperative that we are aware of any possible resident exposures.

Our staff is focused on providing needed services and supplies to our valuable residents.

IL Vaccine Clinic:

The Independent Living vaccine clinic scheduled for Tuesday February 16th is moving forward with about 87 residents registered. We have 160 vaccine doses reserved. Residents who have not registered may still register by completing a consent form. Forms are available in the front lobby. When you come to complete the consent form you need to bring your Medicare and insurance cards.

Please help us: “Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!” There is to be no gathering within apartments or common areas.
