Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

In order to be completely transparent regarding COVID activity in the community, we are sharing information regarding positive cases for both Independent Living and Personal Care.  To keep you informed of COVID-19 activity within the community, please be advised of the following:

Independent Living:

October 29. 2020 – December 3, 2020   – 2 Residents confirmed positive, 1 related Death

January 27, 2021 – February 21, 2021   – 13 Residents confirmed positive, 2 related Deaths

The number of IL residents who have tested positive has increased rapidly over the past month. We need to make every effort to control the increase.

The current positivity rate in Montgomery County is 5.8%. This is a decrease from last week’s percentage of 7.4%.

Please help us: “Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!”

Personal Care:

January 14, 2021 – January 19, 2021 – 2 Residents confirmed positive, 1 related Death, No new cases.

Health and Wellness:

All Residents: If you experience ANY symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue You Must inform the Wellness Center and contact your personal physician. If you are experiencing emergency symptoms please press your pendant for assistance and call 911.

Residents, if you are ill and/or in the process of being tested for COVID-19 you are to inform the Wellness Center and remain confined to your apartment. Once you receive results from testing please notify the Wellness Center.

If you have had a visit or visited anyone in the past 14 days who have tested positive or who have COVID-19 symptoms please notify our Resident Services Manager, Craig Vinciguerra, at 215-302-3750 to enable contact tracing. This is imperative that we are aware of any possible resident exposures.

IL Vaccine Clinic:

We currently have 153 IL residents who have had at least their first dose of vaccine. The second dose Independent Living vaccine clinic is scheduled for Tuesday March 16th from 12:00 – 2:00pm.  Unfortunately there is not another scheduled opportunity for a first dose. We are reviewing opportunities for future mini clinics to offer to those who have not been vaccinated. We are on the pathway creating a WEL Upper Moreland herd immunity.

If you have been vaccinated or are scheduled to be vaccinated at another location please contact Beth Cataldi at (215) 302-3741 to register your vaccination information.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, partnership and understanding during this unprecedented time.
