Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
This letter is to alert you that we learned that one of our non-direct care staff developed COVID-19. We are actively monitoring our staff and residents for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Please join me in wishing the staff member has a quick recovery. We will not be testing at this time. If residents or staff become symptomatic we will begin testing.
All of our staff members continue to follow public health recommendations to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. These include monitoring temperatures upon arrival and leaving and questioning regarding COVID symptoms and contacts. We also enforce strict handwashing procedures, hand sanitizing, wearing facemasks, not touching your face and social distancing when possible.
With Memorial Day coming this weekend I am hopeful that the positivity rates will remain low through the holiday and the following weeks. A very good sign right now is that the positivity rate in Philadelphia County for this past week is 3.9% down from 4.6% the previous week.
I would ask everyone who receives this memo to make an effort to keep pushing those you know who have not received the vaccine to do their part! It is obvious that it is working!
Friendship Pharmacy, our provider of pharmacy services to our personal care residents, is able to provide either the J&J or Moderna vaccine.
Here is the link to register to receive your vaccine through our pharmacy:

We will continue with our current visitation guidelines.
Thank you and stay WEL!
