Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

As a result of the positive COVID-19 case in Personal Care, we are conducting weekly testing of Personal Care residents and staff. We have no new residents testing positive and we have one employee who tested positive in this week’s round of testing.

Today, we received a call from the family of an IL resident stating the resident tested positive for COVID-19. The resident has been quarantined to the apartment. Contact tracing is being conducted to determine who the resident was in contact with. Those residents and staff will be notified and informed of what is required.

The Cornerstone Dining Room is Closed for sit down dining effective immediately. All dining is take out only until further notice.  There will be no take out fee during the closure of the Dining Room. We are continuing with a suspension of all group activities. Please help us: “Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!” We need your help by resisting the urge to gather in common areas and gathering in general.

I continue to encourage residents to limit visitation for necessity only. One of the biggest fears related to COVID-19 is those individuals who are asymptomatic and test positive.

Please continue to wear masks at all times while around others who do not live with you. This includes when you answer your door. Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when in contact with those who don’t reside with you

All Residents: If you experience Any symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue You Must inform the Wellness Center. For staff members if you experience any of the symptoms please contact your supervisor.

Residents, If you are ill and in the process of being tested for COVID-19 you are to inform the Wellness Center and remain confined to your apartment. Once you receive results from testing please notify the Wellness Center.

At this time, in accordance with state guidelines, we are continuing with the residents of Personal Care being quarantined to the floor of their room and their individual rooms. We are working to isolate and contain the spread of the virus. All staff working in personal care are

wearing full PPE to protect the residents and staff.  Housekeeping is working to sanitize all surfaces. Meals are being delivered to resident rooms. Visitation of personal care residents remains suspended.

Also in accordance with state and CDC and Department of Health guidelines we are continuing weekly testing of personal care residents and all staff. The residents will be tested on Tuesday February 2nd and the staff will be tested on Wednesday February 3rd from 10am to 4pm.

We are continuing to work on coordinating a vaccination plan for IL residents. We will inform you when we have more information.
