Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
As a result of last week’s positive COVID-19 case in Personal Care, we are conducting weekly testing of Personal Care residents and staff. We have one resident and one employee who tested positive in this week’s round of testing.
The Personal Care residents were tested yesterday using rapid tests. There were no new positive results.
At this time, in accordance with state guidelines, the residents of Personal Care are continuing with quarantine to the floor of their room and their individual rooms. We are working to isolate and contain the spread of the virus. All staff working in personal care are wearing full PPE to protect the residents and staff. Housekeeping is working to sanitize all surfaces. Meals are being delivered to resident rooms. Visitation of personal care residents has been suspended.
Also in accordance with state and CDC and Department of Health guidelines we are continuing weekly testing of personal care residents and all staff. The residents will be tested on Monday January 25th and the staff will be tested on Tuesday January 26th from 10am to 4pm.
All Residents: If you experience any symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue please inform the care office. For staff members if you experience any of the symptoms please contact your supervisor.
We are continuing with a suspension of all group activities. The Cornerstone Dining Room remains open. We are working on a plan to make limited apartment cleaning available.
We are working on coordinating a vaccination plan for IL residents. We will inform you when we have more information.
