Dear Residents, Families and employees,

I hope that your holidays were enjoyable. I am very hopeful with the flip of the calendar and the beginning of a new year.

At Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland we continue to:

Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!”

Montgomery County has experienced an increase in the positivity rate from 10.5% a week ago to 11.4% this past reporting week. At WEL Upper Moreland we have not had any new cases among our residents or staff.

Our staff is working hard to find ways to enhance life while remaining cautious due to the pandemic. We have worked in dining services to find ways to accommodate residents who wish to dine at a table for 6. Last week we rearranged some of the seating to make accommodations. Erin has worked to find ways to make services available to both IL and PC residents. The enhanced living/activity staff are looking at ways to make activities available and maintain a safe environment. Our reception staff is working to make the check-in and check-out process with the Accushield monitor a smooth process that allows for a safe and secure socially distanced entry system.

I am reviewing how we will be able to reopen the Salon for services. I hope to have an answer before the end of the month.

I am encouraging continued limited visitation with the increased potential for contact with COVID-19 and the Flu.

I would like to request that anyone who visits our community or any resident who visits someone off campus and within 14 days begins to have one or more of the COVID symptoms to please notify our Resident Services Manager, Craig Vinciguerra, at 215-302-3750 to enable contact tracing. This is imperative that we are aware of any possible resident exposures.

Residents, Please be sure to register out and in when leaving campus. As always, please contact wellness with any concerns about your health.

We continue to wait for information about the COVID vaccination for our Personal Care residents and our staff. We partnered with CVS for the vaccination process. I contacted one of

our state representatives for assistance with information and scheduling. I will keep you updated as more information is available.

We are seeing updates occurring on a regular basis for the general public and IL residents should be able to schedule themselves for public offerings of the vaccination.
