Dear Families,

There are no positive cases of Covid-19 with residents or staff in the Meadows (skilled nursing). We were hoping to allow single visitors in private rooms in our next step of opening but unfortunately we are concerned about adherence to our mask policies during our outdoor visits. In all good conscience we don’t feel that we can advance to our next steps until there is greater compliance.

We are aware of the CDC guidelines that allow fully vaccinated individuals to go without masks outdoors and in some cases indoors. These guidelines do not apply to senior congregate care facilities like ours. Fully vaccinated individuals can still contract and spread Covid-19 and for our most frail and vulnerable residents, this is still very dangerous. Our goal is to prevent our residents and staff from getting Covid-19. As you know, one case of Covid-19 among our staff and residents will result in us having to cease all visitation for at least two weeks then begin the process of step by step re-opening again. This has happened recently in a community not unlike ours in our area.  I know none of us wants to go through that again.

We are asking for respect and compliance with our policies. All visitors should enter through the front door for screening.   All visitors are expected to have their mask in place at all times. Please do not pull down your mask to speak, to eat etc.

With greater compliance we hope to further indoor visitation in our private rooms although outdoor visits are always preferred.

Thank-you for your partnership in keeping everyone safe!
