As we move into a holiday weekend, I would ask all our residents, staff and families to recognize that if you exhibit even mild symptoms, such as runny nose or scratchy throat and you test negative with a home test, keep in mind that the testing sometimes takes a few days and table your visits or plans until your symptoms subside. The current virus variant is highly contagious and has now begun to show more ability to infect even those who have vaccines and boosters on board. Wear your masks when out in public around crowds.
Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Please keep in mind that Memorial Day is a holiday for reflection. For those who have served, I thank you for your service. For those who know someone who has served, I thank you for supporting them in their service to our country. And for those who have benefitted from the service of our men and women in the armed forces, remember their sacrifice and keep them in your thoughts and prayers this weekend.
