Unfortunately I have to report a new staff positive test. This staff member works in IL dining and last worked Saturday. Please keep them in your thoughts. The staff member was a server and did not serve anyone who was not vaccinated. As a reminder, we have our dining service set up to limit time around residents by any one staff member, utilizing food runners and bussers along with the servers. We track everyone who is served by a specific server, so if you are not notified, you did not have any contact with this staff member. Since this staff positive did not occur in the Pines or the Meadows, we are not changing any visitation policies. As with any other time, if you have any reason to be concerned with your health, please contact wellness.

We have no positives in Independent Living.
Even as the vaccination rates continue to rise and the positivity rates continue to drop, it is still a time to be vigilant. However, based on new guidance from the CDC and CMS, which supervises our certified units (Meadows and Pines), there will be changes this coming week, allowing for more interaction with residents and families in these units. As with every step we make, we approach them with all due concern and care along with compassion for our resident’s needs. I will send out a few other memos today highlighting the next steps for our community. Please stay tuned!
