We completed testing again in the Meadows due to the requirement for 2 weeks with no positives and we have one new positive, again with no symptoms.  There are no new positives in any other unit.  We will continue to test until we have 2 weeks without any positives, and we are continuing to test staff.  We had 2 staff positives in positions that do not have significant resident interaction, but we retested any staff that may have come in close contact and found no other positives.  Please keep them in your thoughts as they recover.  Delaware County went up again to 9.6% from 7.6% positivity. The state of Pennsylvania is at 14.4% with many counties in the 20s with positivity rates.  It is quite evident that this is a byproduct of holiday get togethers around Thanksgiving.

I will take this moment to reiterate the importance of mask wearing while travelling around the community.  And I also will remind everyone that mask wearing means covering your nose and your mouth.  We continue to have booster clinics onsite, but if you have not been boosted, there are multiple opportunities to get your boosters.  I have now started getting calls from residents who have grandchildren under 12 who have started or completed their vaccine course.  This is wonderful news and my hope is that we see more of this as we move forward into the winter months.  Get vaccinated, get boosted, wear your masks, and use common sense with your interactions.
