We completed testing again in the Meadows due to the requirement for 2 weeks with no positives and we thankfully had no new positives. There are no new positives in any other unit.  We will continue to test until we have 2 weeks without any positives.  Delaware County went up again to 5.9% from 5.4% positivity.

This week, visitation protocols for skilled nursing facilities(The Meadows) have been modified.  We have sent out updated policies to families of Meadows residents and we will post new policies outside of the Meadows unit for Monday.  As of today, the booster shot is in the process of being approved by the CDC after being approved by the FDA.  Pfizer vaccines have been approved for children as young as 5 years old.  The hope is that Delaware County continues to be a leader in vaccinations as they have been since this phase of the pandemic had begun last January.  We are heading into Thanksgiving and hopefully an opportunity to share some family time with the comfort that we have done all we can to protect ourselves and each other.  We are not in the clear, but we are closer to the clear than this time last year.  I was reminded that this time last year, we were at a positivity rate of 10.8 and we did NOT have the vaccine.  Truly a time to be thankful.  Please enjoy your weekend and your Thanksgiving celebration next week.
