Dear Residents, Families and Employees,
Today, while listening to KYW news radio, I heard a discussion about the state’s position regarding Assisted Living and Personal Care Home resident visitation with family and friends from outside the community after residents and visitors being vaccinated. The state officials were quoted as saying that visitation remains strictly restricted in accordance with Department of Health guidelines.
The current positivity rate in Philadelphia County is 4.5%. This is a decrease from last week’s percentage of 4.8%. We are hopeful that with the decreasing number of positive cases in Philadelphia County along with the number of residents who have been vaccinated that we will be allowed to resume some forms of normalcy with activities, salon services, dining seating, outings and visitation.
For the interim we are able to resume Compassionate Care Visits in the library. Resident friends & family members can schedule visits for two visitors in the library with residents for up to 1 hour, must wear masks, with Plexiglas divider between them. Compassionate Care visits are scheduled in advance by calling the receptionist (215) 745-3517. Visitors will be screened and escorted into and from the library. Visitors and residents must wear a mask, must stay in the library during their visit, and cannot eat or drink during the visit.
I will keep you informed and updated as we progress toward reopening our community.
Please help us: “Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!”
Thank you and stay WEL!
