Per the recommendations for all healthcare facilities and congregant living communities, WEL Burholme will be immediately suspending all non-essential medical personnel from entering our campus for residents in all levels of care in addition to medical trips off campus.

Suspension of such services would include physical therapy, occupational therapy, home health workers, visiting nurses, routine and non-emergent doctor’s appointments, hospice workers, and non-emergent lab technicians.

We understand the need for critical or emergency visits may still exist. If you or your loved one is requesting an exception to this updated policy, please contact our Front Desk. These requests will be reviewed by our Leadership Team to determine medical necessity.

If you are granted an exception to this policy, you will be required to wear a facial covering while off campus. Additionally, you will be asked to self-isolate in your apartment or cottage for a minimum of 14 days following your return to the community or if you require external healthcare personnel to enter your apartment or cottage.

We have seen the effects of COVID 19 on the 65+ population and we do not want you to expose yourself unnecessarily. Fortunately, we have not had any confirmed cases at either WEL Burholme to date, and we continue to look for ways to minimize our risk of exposure. Through your cooperation with this new policy, we hope to maintain the health and safety of all residents and staff of WEL Burholme.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, partnership and understanding at this time.
