Housekeeping has resumed as of Monday by your regular appointment. You should be getting a call from housekeeping to schedule your appointment. It may take a couple of weeks to get back to some semblance of a normal schedule. We will continue to sanitize all community areas and wipe down all hand rails, door knobs and elevator buttons.
The salon and bank must stay closed due to the state phasing plan and will resume services sometime around when Delaware County goes to green. As a reminder, Delaware County will be going to yellow June 5th. There has been no timeline for green announced.
The memo from Enhanced Living from last week regarding resumption of scheduled activities will begin next week. We are anxiously awaiting our return to community based activities, with an eye on safe techniques such as limiting numbers in groups, mask wearing during groups, and sanitizing techniques between groups. As a result of these added parameters, there may be more than one of the same group to allow for more to enjoy the event. Vicki will manage the flow of residents in each group and assist in seating and distancing needs. We are also going to start religious services to a degree utilizing the same techniques. More to come on that.
The Energy Club will be sending out a memo related to their plan for classes and individual exercise later today, but they will also start up this coming week, including the pool. As with Enhanced Living, there will be some parameters around limited class size and sanitizing techniques.
The library is open for signing out and returning books.
Dining will continue as is, but there will be changes very soon. We are planning on building up to community dining in stages and will map out the phased plans in a separate set of memos.
We have seen an increase in family visits utilizing our outside seating areas. Remind your family to be sure and wear masks as they visit and at this point we would ask for them to not enter into your apartments. If there is any need for clarification or help with visits, please reach out to wellness.
A couple of other requests not related to next steps. Please do not feed the wild animals you see in and around the campus. These animals will find their way into the building if they connect our site with a food source and as cute as a chipmunk is in the lawn, they are not so cute scurrying around your hallways!
Death notices have been moved back up to the chapel for viewing.
Construction is down to approximately 2-3 weeks to completion, so we will soon be fully renovated!
As a regular reminder, we are asking all of you to wear your masks when you are outside of your apartments. Please keep in mind your neighbors and your own health when you make your decisions to have your family visit, go out to the store or outside physician, and practice social distancing and wear your masks. It is the best way to protect you and your neighbors. Please take our reminders in the sentiment they are meant to be presented. We are simply here to keep you as safe as possible.
