As we continue to move forward, we have had ongoing conversations about the resumption of more relaxed processes here a WEL Main Line. First off, we must continue to show no new positive cases for anything to resume and if we have new cases, we will have to return to more restrictions. So we preface all discussion with this statement.
We will start having more physician services onsite starting this week with podiatry services. We will make sure the appointments are spread out and also require masks to be worn by residents, as per usual.
Other services that are being explored are housekeeping, fitness, religious services and enhanced living programming. We will roll these out as we continue to see no new cases. There is no timetable at this point, but we do have a plan in place when the time is right.
Bank and Salon services are more under the state limitations based on the governor’s Red/Yellow/Green approach to reopening businesses and may be closed for some time.
We would ask that visitors continue to be limited to outside visits for all level of care for the time being. We do continue to have the need to sell apartments at different levels of care and that includes IL and Pines. This means that there may be tours of the community and vacant apartments. All tours will be managed with the same screening process all staff and residents undertake. We do have a system in place for move ins which includes quarantine, but we need to continue to maintain the mission of WEL Main Line.
We have explored upgraded sanitation techniques as well, including the use of a disinfectant fogger machine that will allow us to reach areas that we cannot reach with a cloth or sprayer. We are also investing in a kiosk system that will allow us to automatically read temperatures, screen staff and visitors, and print out a name tag so we can be assured that we are doing all we can to manage flow in and out of the community. We are continuing to explore more options to stay as vigilant as possible as we move forward.
As we have mentioned in the past, we are asking all of you to wear your masks when you are outside of your apartments and we are asking you to limit your time outside of your apartment as much as you can, however we are not here to direct all of your behavior. Please keep in mind your neighbors and your own health when you make your decisions to have your family visit, go out to the store or outside physician, and practice social distancing and wear your masks. It is the best way to protect yourself as we wait for this virus to mitigate. Please take our reminders in the sentiment they are meant to be presented. We are simply here to keep you as safe as possible.
