Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
I regret to inform you that one of our fully vaccinated employees has tested positive for COVID 19 using a rapid test earlier this weekend. The employee went for a PCR lab test following the rapid test and we received a positive result from that test late last night. This employee works throughout WEL Doylestown but had no close contact as defined by the CDC. We did notify residents/family that may have had casual contact. After consultation with the Bucks County Department of Health, and reviewing guidelines from the PA Department of Health and the PA Department of Human Services, WEL Doylestown will close to visitors for Skilled Nursing and Personal Care. We will be conducting PCR lab testing of all residents in Skilled and Personal Care and rapid tests for all staff today. Testing will be completed again next week. If no more cases are identified, we will resume visitation on Saturday March 27th. If additional cases are identified we will modify this schedule accordingly. Visitation will continue for Independent Living with no more than 2 visitors at a time in individual apartments and no visitation or gathering with visitors in communal areas.
We continue to look to the future, planning programs and events and ways to connect, socialize and have fun. Occasionally, we know we will have a setback. We will work hard to resolve it and get back on track, continuing to look forward.
As always, thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Maureen
