Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
The COVID transmission rate in Bucks County remains high and the 7-day metric for positivity continues to increase. As of today, the positivity rating is now 10.7%. At this time, there are no indications that the transmission rate will be decreasing throughout the holiday season. However, when the transmission rate decreases to below 10% for two consecutive weeks, we will reconsider this requirement based on the most recent CDC and Department of Health recommendations.
Unfortunately, we must now require that all residents wear a face covering or mask that covers the nose and mouth when they are in common areas of the community and during activities, regardless of vaccination and booster status. All employees and visitors continue with this requirement. When dining, please wear the face covering until you are seated at the table or bar. You may then remove the face covering when eating and drinking. Please ensure when you exit the dining room or the bar, the face covering must be securely in place covering the nose and mouth. For the Singing Seniors and the planned concert in Heritage Hall in early January, we will be continuing as planned.
When staff are providing services in your room or apartment, please wear a mask to protect yourself and our staff. Also, we highly encourage our visitors in the Independent Living, Personal Care, and the Health Center to continue to wear masks during the visit inside the apartment or room.
You can help us maintain a COVID free environment by wearing your mask, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, and notify us if you have symptoms or if you have close contact with a COVID positive individual. Any visitor experiencing any sign or symptom of illness cannot visit, and employees with any signs or symptoms must call out for their scheduled shift.
As a reminder, the most common signs and symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- Most common symptoms include – Fever or Chills, Dry cough, Tiredness/Fatigue
- Less common symptoms include – Muscle aches and pains, Sore throat, Vomiting or Diarrhea, Conjunctivitis, Headache, Loss of taste or smell, a rash on skin, or discoloration of fingers or toes
- Serious symptoms include – Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, Chest pain or pressure, Loss of speech of movement
