Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Philadelphia County reported 3.4% positivity rate of COVID-19 testing in the most recent update, under the 5% marker but up from the 2.9 reported last week.  We continue to be COVID-19 free in our community.  PDPH reported that 21 of 47 nursing homes in Philadelphia are reporting positive cases.  We continue to be diligent with our cleaning, sanitizing, face masks, and other precautionary measures.

The Fireside Dining Room re-opened Monday, October 19, as scheduled.  We have experienced a few hiccups, but overall the service has gone well.   It is imperative that you arrive to your seating time on time.  Late arrivals have created some issues in seating the second dinner time.  As a result, if you are more than 15 minutes late to be seated, you will be requested to order your meal for take-out.  We want to thank you for your patience through this return to dining in the Fireside Dining Room – be assured everyone is working to iron out any wrinkles in the process.

For the visits to health center and personal care residents that begin on November 2, the screening process will be “automated”.  The same machine that will register you as a visitor will also scan your temperature and you will be required to answer two questions prior to printing your visitor badge.  There will be a poster in the vestibule to guide you on using the machine, and we will have a staff member there to assist you.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions or concerns.  You can send me an email directly at the address herein.
