Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Fortunately, I have nothing significant to report this week.  Philadelphia County continues to report a 2.9 positivity rate of COVID-19 testing, under the 5% marker that would be require more frequent staff testing.   With the projected or actual second surge, I will continue with weekly updates to keep you informed of what is occurring in the community.

The Fireside Dining Room is re-opening Monday, October 19 for independent living residents.  Attached to this evening’s dinner will be a list of requirements that all residents must adhere to when arriving to, being seat, dining and exiting the dining room.  Please know that our Dining staff attempted to honor all resident requests for who you would sit with and preferred seating time, unfortunately they were unable to honor all of those requests.  We are asking for your patience as we embark on this adventure of re-opening the dining room after seven months.  Please do not expect changes to your table for at least the next 3-4 weeks, or to your dining time.  Think positively about this new experience, – you may meet some new residents and make new a new friend.

Thank you for your patience and your cooperation.  We all know this will be a challenge, and no one needs another challenge right now.  It sounds cliché, but you are strong and we will get through this together.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions or concerns.  You can send me an email directly at the address herein.
