Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

With the fact that we have had a positive employee and the positivity rate in Philadelphia has doubled in the past three weeks, we have made the decision that we will not have guests in the community for holiday dinners this year.  I am very sorry for the disappointment this may cause to you.  As you have heard on the news, the experts have identified family gatherings as one of the chief spreading factors right now and are strongly urging that people avoid such gatherings.

As has been recommended by regulatory agencies and has been the on-going practice, health center and personal care residents are not permitted to leave the community except for clinical reasons.

For all independent residents, we are urging you to avoid family gatherings and to enjoy the company of your friends in our community.  If you choose to leave the community for holiday dinner with family and friends, you will be required to quarantine for a 14 day period after you have been out.  Further, we will not waive the fee for room service related to the mandated quarantine, as you made this informed decision to leave the community and are required to quarantine on return.  I recognize how harsh this may sound, but it will be the required process.

The weekly testing of employees will continue until the positivity rate in Philadelphia is reduced to <5% and we have no positive cases.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions or concerns.  You can send me an email directly at the address herein.
