Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
The only thing certain with the whole vaccination process is that it is uncertain. Yesterday, I was able to confirm the dates and number of vaccines to be delivered for our three clinics. According to the information I received yesterday, we will have enough vaccine to vaccinate all Employees and all Residents who have signed consent forms. In communication with my colleagues at the other Wesley communities I have learned that many times what is planned is not always what occurs at the clinics. We are going to need to be patient and flexible as the clinic dates grow closer.
If all the vaccine that is promised arrives, we will vaccinate in the following order:
- Health Care Residents
- Employees
- Personal Care Residents
- Independent Living Residents.
There are still a number of unknowns with regards to the clinic; for example we do not know if there will be four people doing the vaccine or two. Therefore, we cannot create a schedule yet. I’m told that three to five days before the scheduled clinic, we receive this information. You can anticipate an update and notification of the approximate time your vaccine will be administered around February 3.
