Dear Residents/Family Members/Employees,
It is with great excitement that we anticipate the administering of the COVID 19 vaccines. This is our way out of this pandemic and we all play a part. I cannot over emphasize the importance of participating in the vaccination program and receiving your vaccine when offered. According to the latest information I have received, vaccines for all Health Care and Personal Care Residents and all Employees should begin around the last week of this month. Like many things these days, this timeline is tentative and subject to change. We are waiting to receive the required consent forms and then I will be in touch again with the process for completion.
Our testing processes continue, including twice-weekly testing of all Employees, weekly testing of all HCC Residents, and monthly testing of PC Residents. This week’s testing revealed one new positive Employee in HCC. There were no new HCC Residents identified as positive and there are also no Residents in PC or IL that are positive.
We have some new technology in our lobbies; automatic temperature scanners for our Accushield check-in system. When completely installed, this system will automatically take and record temperatures and require the answering of the COVID health-screening questions. For now, our Employees will be utilizing this system at the start and completion of their shift.
Rates in the surrounding greater community continue to climb and it is more important than ever that you are following recommended guidelines including masks, hand washing, social distancing, and avoiding gathering.
