Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
We waited for months to be able to welcome visitors back and the first week is gone – it flew by. To everyone who enjoyed time with their loved ones this week, thank you for your enthusiasm and your cooperation. Some of the reunions were priceless – the tears of joys and the screams with excitement were wonderful. Rosalind and April have done a stellar job this week reminding everyone of the parameters and I want to thank them for all of their support in making this successful. We anticipate that next week will be equally exciting and run smoothly.
For our visitors coming in the week of August 17, just a few quick reminders for you:
- Please be sure to have on a face mask
- Wait in your car, we will come for you
- Maintain social distancing at all times
- Please no eating or drinking during your visit
- Snacks, clothes and toiletries are fine to bring with you to return with the resident to their room
- Have a wonderful visit!!
I am very pleased to share that as of this moment, none of our residents who had visitors have exhibited any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. We have continuously checked all of our health care and personal care residents each shift for any symptoms throughout this pandemic, and that will not end anytime in the foreseeable future.
It is anticipated that if we continue to have no new documented cases of COVID-19, we will be scheduling our next visit weeks for September 21 and 28. More to come on that.
We will follow the same process when we invite independent living families back to the community for visits. It is imperative for the safety of everyone that we limit all visitors’ access to the full community due to the additional exposure, cleaning and sanitizing that will be required in public areas, elevators, etc. It is likely that we will invite independent living visitors in during the second week of September, for visits in the Fireside Dining Room only. Visiting in apartments will not be permitted.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions or concerns. You can send me an email directly at the address herein.
