Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Thank you for your continued diligence in following the procedures and precautions we’ve put in place and are maintaining over the last several weeks to help keep our community healthy and best limit the spread of COVID-19.  We continue with precautionary measures such as strict social distancing, regular cleaning of surfaces and monitoring our health – we are all doing our part in this fight.

As this pandemic persists, we remain committed to updating you on a regular basis as any relevant information becomes available, no matter how difficult the message.

Today’s update comes to share with you that we have created a designated quarantine unit for Covid-19 positive residents.  We have designated a specific hallway on Health Center 1 and designated this area as a COVID-19 positive quarantine area.  The area will have dedicated nursing staff and housekeepers to provide the care and services necessary.  Meals will be delivered to the doors of the unit and the dedicated nursing staff will bring the meals onto the quarantine unit and deliver them to residents.  Staff will be extremely isolated with those residents.  Entering and exiting the unit will also take place via a separate entrance so that staff will not be in contact with the rest of the health center or other parts of the community.  One of our residents is scheduled to be readmitted from the hospital to that unit today.

The CDC has recommended quarantine areas, when the physical plant can accommodate such action.  We have taken the opportunity to create this space in accordance with the CDC recommendations.

Please take care of yourselves, and we will be in touch again soon.
