Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
We have another week with zero Residents or Employees testing positive here at Stapeley! Visitation is going well with expanded options in both Personal Care (PC) and our Health Care Center (HCC). Visits in private apartments in PC can occur after screening and the garden area outside of HCC is open and functioning. Bridge’s visits occur off the neighborhood. Please continue to arrange your visits through our receptionists.
Another barometer that needs monitoring is the positivity rate in the community around us. This past week it has gone up from 5.9% to 8.5% currently. If the rate were to go above 10%, we would need to cease visits, even if we do not have any positives within our community. It is wonderful to see Residents and Families re-connect and let’s hope that the positivity rate starts to drop again and the tests continue to be negative.
CDC requires that I remind you that visiting is not without risk and you still need to take every precaution possible including wearing a mask, handwashing, and six-feet social distancing.
Stay safe,
Ken Beiler
