Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
Our second vaccine clinic is just 10 days away (2/28/2021). We anticipate it will run like the last one but won’t know for sure until they show up at our door J . If you did not receive your first vaccine on 2/7, you can still sign up and receive the necessary two vaccines to help assure protection. Reminder, everyone will need to complete the same paperwork again.
Receiving our vaccines is a major step towards getting back to our normal lives. It won’t be an immediate lifting of restrictions though but rather a gradual change. This is the first step of many that must still occur before any major changes are made to our safety precautions. According to today’s news reporting, the experts are predicting that “normal” won’t occur before Christmas. This doesn’t mean that we can’t start looking at some changes based on the infection rates around us and within Stapeley.
We have not had a positive Resident case in IL or PC since January 9, 2021. We are therefore going to resume some group activities (with proper masking and social distancing) in the coming days. PC has begun some group gatherings in the café and Parlor and IL Residents are being surveyed regarding their preferences for getting back together in small groups. After the second vaccine clinic and if local infection rates continue to drop, we will re-examine to possibility of resuming visitation in some format.
Sincerely,
Ken Beiler
