I am very pleased to share with you that I have been able to secure two dates for an additional COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. The dates will be March 6 (first vaccination) and March 27 (second vaccination). Times to be determined for those dates. At the present time there is not a third date available, but I am continuing to work with CVS for a possible third date.

These two confirmed dates will include all Personal Care Residents, Independent Living residents and staff who declined in the first round of vaccinations, and Health Center residents who are in need of the vaccination.

I want to remind everyone that for those vaccinated, the effectiveness of the vaccination begins to take place in 10-12 days. After the first vaccination, Pfizer indicates you are approximately 54% protected from contracting the COVID virus.

We will provide more information regarding the process, as the date draws closer.

We have consent forms for both personal and health care residents, or will obtain them, if required.

All independent residents who would like to participate will need to complete a consent form, no later than February 25 and provide us with copies of the front and back of your insurance cards (health and pharmacy) as well as your Medicare card.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate in the vaccination program. It is only effective in our community if 75-80% of every one of us participate!

Over these weeks and months many of you have reached out to thank and compliment the staff for all of their efforts. Your kind words are much appreciated and I would like to thank you on behalf of our entire wonderful staff.

We value your kind thoughts and compliments, and I would ask you to take a moment to post your thoughts on our review page, if you are so inclined. In general, most people who are looking for a place for their loved ones or themselves do search for online information and if they find some positive information, it does put them at ease. We still need to do the work to sell them on our community, which is a joint effort with our marketing staff and our residents since this is first and foremost a community, but some positive comments do help alleviate some of the concerns that everyone has with such a large lifestyle change. I do want you all to know that I appreciate all of your comments and would be very thankful if you would help us grow this community with your reviews. Click here for the review website.

Thank you all again for your supportive words and be assured we will continue to do all we can to push to some semblance of normalcy in the lives of our residents.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have by phone or directly to my email.

Stay safe,
