With the on-going testing of employees, we have one new positive staff member who is asymptomatic. This staff member is not a direct caregiver. Twice, weekly testing for employees will continue until Philadelphia’s positivity rate drops below 10%.

Throughout Pennsylvania and in Philadelphia County, specifically the positivity numbers continue to surge. The number of positive cases in southeastern Pennsylvania are almost tripled from the peak in April 2020.
We continue to sanitize, educate staff and police the proper PPE attire.

Some changes we made in the community over the past week include, small group activities are cancelled and we have returned to 1:1 visits throughout the health center and personal care, meals are being served on/in disposable ware, and at this time we are not accepting any external packages from family deliveries with no exceptions, and no floral deliveries. These are some of the same processes we had in place in the Spring and early Summer. We are looking to obtain a 14 day window without any new positive COVID cases in residents and staff. That 14 day period will signal the potential to begin re-opening phases.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Stay well,
