Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

As a result of last week’s positive COVID-19 case in Personal Care, we conducted testing of Personal Care residents and staff. We are happy to announce that this round of testing did not result in any residents testing positive.
We did have two staff members who tested positive and have been quarantined. The two staff members do not have any symptoms related to COVID-19. We are very hopeful that this is an isolated situation.
Residents: If you experience any symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue please inform the care office. For staff members if you experience any of the symptoms please contact your supervisor.

At this time, in accordance with state guidelines, the residents of Personal Care are continuing with quarantine to the floor of their room and their individual rooms.

Also in accordance with state and CDC guidelines we are beginning the first of a three weeks of testing of personal care residents and all staff. The residents will be tested on Tuesday January 19th and the staff will be tested on Wednesday January 20th from 10am to 4pm.

This Friday we will be having our first COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The clinic is designated for personal care and staff. We hope to have information soon for our Independent
Living residents. I encourage the Independent Living residents to discuss the vaccine with your primary care physician and possibly sign up for the vaccine at a community vaccination site.
