Update for all WEL Upper Moreland Residents, Families and Staff– 1/15/2021
Dear Residents, Families and staff,
Late last evening we received news that one of our Personal Care residents was sent out to the hospital and tested positive for COVID-19.
At this time the residents of Personal Care are being quarantined for 14 days to the floor of their room and their individual rooms. We are in the process of contact tracing and will be testing those who may have had direct exposure with the resident. Direct exposure is defined as: within 6 feet of someone for longer than 15 minutes.
The personal care residents will be dining in their rooms during the quarantine.
For the safety of residents, guests and staff Visitation for personal care residents will be suspended during the quarantine. Window visits may be able to be arranged.
At this time the first and second floor hallways where personal care residents reside are restricted and off limits to non PC residents. I apologize for the inconvenience, Independent residents who reside in the Wesley wing will need to take the Wesley elevator to the third floor to walk over to the central elevators.
All activities are being suspended for an initial 14 day period. We will continually evaluate the situation and provide updated information.
The Cornerstone dining room will remain open for IL residents. Please continue to wear masks throughout the building and in the dining room until your meal is delivered. Please also continue to wash your hands frequently and use sanitizer throughout the day.
If you experience any symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue please inform the care office.
