Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
Skilled Nursing
I am sorry to share that we identified a staff member in skilled nursing who tested positive during rapid surveillance testing at the end of last week. We received lab confirmation over the weekend that the person is positive for COVID-19. We have tested all residents, we are awaiting results and we are monitoring for signs and symptoms.
One case is considered an outbreak so the nursing home has now moved to a Red Phase. This means no communal dining nor activities through January 28th. We continue with window visits and face time visits. We will communicate resident results as soon as we receive them. Please keep our staff and residents in skilled in your thoughts and prayers. We wish our employee a speedy recovery.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Based on communication on with CVS on Friday January 18th it is likely that we will not have any additional COVID-19 vaccine on site for our Clinic on Wednesday January 20th; CVS may only bring enough for residents and staff who received the first vaccine on December 30th. This means no new vaccination, only booster shots. If this changes, I will share the information as quickly as possible.
We are still confirmed for our Clinics for Personal Care residents on January 30th and 31st.
Best regards,
Maureen
