We have learned today, Friday December 18, 2020, that one of our staff has tested positive for COVID-19.
We are working on contact tracing and will notify staff and residents who may have come in contact with this employee and keep them apprised of any necessary measures. If you are not contacted, you have not come in close contact.
Please keep the staff member in your thoughts.
Montgomery County had a decrease in positive COVID results (currently 11.4%, down from 11.9% a week ago), we are continuing to preclude group activities.
We are continuing with dining in the Cornerstone, but I am asking that you dine with the same group on a regular basis. Also, please comply with wearing your mask while not eating, before your meal, while ordering your meal, and after you have finished eating.
With Christmas next week and New Year’s the following week I would like to ask you to please “Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!” I am encouraging you to stay on campus unless necessary for medical necessity and minimal shopping. Please continue to be vigilant while on and off campus; maintain social distance and facial covering if you are out of your apartment and wash your hands frequently in addition to using hand sanitizer. It is your best defense against this difficult virus. Please be sure to register out and in when leaving campus. As always, please contact wellness with any concerns about your health.
We are hopeful that with following these efforts we can contain and prevent further positive cases.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.
