I am happy to report we had no positives this week with our staff testing.
We continue to have no positives in the Pines.
We have no new positives in the Meadows.
We have had no new positives in IL.
Yesterday we had the third clinic from our original set of 3 clinics. This clinic covered the second shot for the few Meadows residents who got their first on Feb 2nd and the first shot for the new admissions into Meadows. We also gave the one Pines resident who got their first shot their second dose. So at this point, we have 99% of the residents in both units vaccinated at least with one dose and most with 2 doses. We even had a previous resident of the Meadows come back to the building to get her second dose from home! Our staff percentage of those who have had at least one dose is over 75% and we still have some scheduled for the March 2nd clinic. The 75% is based off all staff, but if we parse out those who are casual staff used very rarely, we are closer to 85%! Keeping in mind that some staff is currently medically exempt from taking the vaccine, most consistently due to pregnancy or post partum feeding, I am very pleased with the percentages of staff that has taken the vaccine. And I have the bragging rights that I was the very first one to sit in that chair and take my shot!
We have our next clinic on March 2nd and we will be completing the clinic the same way we did the clinic on Feb 9th, EXCEPT we will be calling hallways starting with L and working our way back to A. Reminder to stay down in your rooms until we contact you to come down for your shot. Very excited for the next step!
