We are happy to report that the staff member who tested positive with our rapid test has shown to be negative through the follow up PCR test. As a reminder of the tests, the issue with the rapid tests is that it does show some false positives, which is a better issue for our tracking. When we verify with the PCR test, we can be confident in results.
We continue to have no positives in the Pines.
We have no new positives in the Meadows.
We have had no new positives in IL.
For historical context, the last positive staff test was January 15th and our last positive resident was January 31st. We started doing clinics January 12th and have completed 3 so far, with 3 more to go. Our next clinic is this coming Tuesday Feb 23rd. The second clinic for the large majority of our Independent Living residents will be on March 2nd. We will then have a final clinic on March 23rd for those who may have had their first dose on March 2nd. We are now working to set up an ongoing source for vaccine for availability with new resident move in’s and new staff. This is the next challenge. I have cast a wide net to find partners either through public or private paths. Some seem more positive than others, but we will continue to push.
