We have completed all baseline testing of Meadows residents in reaction to the positive staff test and have seen no positive tests.  We used PCR tests for the residents which takes a few days to return, but is considered more accurate. We also had no positive cases in the Pines with baseline testing.

In the Independent Living unit, we continue to show no new positive tests.

The weekly positivity rate in Delaware County is now 10.47 which means we now move to twice weekly testing for all Meadows staff.

This also means we will continue to halt all in person visits for both the Meadows and the Pines until the positivity rate goes back down.  We will continue with window visits.  Contact unit staff to schedule visits and please keep in mind that some times of the day are more difficult to reach staff, such as change of shift and meal times.

With the increase in positivity rate, we are not accepting any outside food deliveries for the time being.  We are unable to properly disinfect prepared foods and we will be strained to stay ahead of increased testing requirements and ensure food reaches your loved ones in a timely fashion.  As a reminder, please drop off any other packages through the front entrance for processing.

For the Independent Living residents, knowing that we are coming up on Thanksgiving, I would advise all to reconsider any large get togethers with outside family.  If you are going to indulge in a family Thanksgiving, please consider your community neighbors and exercise self quarantine upon your return to the community.

Just as a continued reminder, we have a wellness staff person onsite 24 hrs a day, so even if Wellness office is closed, there is someone here to assist you if needed.  You can pull your cord which will alert them.  We also have security(#484-638-2364) 24 hrs a day if you have a need.
