We have seen no more positive tests in the Meadows since July and we continue to have no positive cases in the Pines with staff or residents to date.
In the Independent Living unit, we have shown no new positive tests and we have had no new staff positives.
We have begun indoor visitation for the Meadows and the Pines, utilizing space near the entrances of both units. The Meadows space is near the entrance to the Wellness Center. I would ask that those who have to utilize wellness services please be respectful of the visiting families and measure your volume and please keep your walking route around the sitting area being used right now for visits. The positivity rate continues below 10%, so we will continue to schedule in person visits. If it goes above 10%, we will need to return to just window visits until it drops down below 10%. We review our positivity rate in Delaware County at the end of each week, usually late Friday or early Saturday. As a notation to the seriousness of the current state of the community spread of Covid-19, there was a multi-hospital state of divert earlier this week, meaning that they were not able to take new patients through their emergency room for a period of time. Now is the time to be more vigilant and cautious about your comings and goings and make sure that you have your mask on when out in groups at all times. We will not be changing anything with our current parameters with activities, dining, visitation, but be aware that this may change rapidly.
Just as a reminder, we have a wellness staff person onsite 24 hrs a day, so even if Wellness office is closed, there is someone here to assist you if needed. You can pull your cord which will alert them. We also have security(#484-638-2364) 24 hrs a day if you have a need.
