Dear Residents, Families, and Staff

I hope that your Thanksgiving was enjoyable. With all of the stress of life it is good to take a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for.

Today we are conducting another round of COVID-19 testing for our residents and staff. Last week’s testing only revealed one staff member who was asymptomatic and tested positive.

We continue to monitor our staff and residents for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and are following the guidance of our local and state health departments.

We will be conducting weekly testing to monitor if there are any further positive cases. We will have our next testing on Tuesday December 8th.

All of our staff members continue to follow public health recommendations to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. These include monitoring temperatures upon arrival and leaving and questioning regarding COVID-19 symptoms and contacts. We also enforce strict handwashing procedures, hand sanitizing, wearing facemasks, not touching your face and social distancing when possible.

To minimize the risk of our residents becoming sick with COVID-19, we are suspending all inside visits at the current time to Wesley Enhanced Living Burholme. This decision is being made in accordance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. We understand that connecting with family members is important. Other ways to connect include window visits in our vestibule, telephone, email, text, or through Skype or Facebook.

We will keep you posted. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Sis Wichterman, Personal Care Administrator

Daniel Frost, Executive Director
