Executive Director: Weekly COVID-19 Update November 25, 2020
Dear Residents, Families and Employees,
We continue to see a surge in new COVID-19 positive cases in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. I do not anticipate these numbers will drop below 10% for several weeks, as a result, we will continue to test staff twice each week and health center residents weekly. Personal care residents will be tested on a monthly basis.
For independent residents who would like to be tested following Thanksgiving activities, we will be setting up Thursday, December 3, from 11AM to 1PM for testing. The location will be on the 2nd floor in the small conference room (located just off the small elevator). You will be required to bring your health insurance cards with you so the lab can bill for your test. All are encouraged to be tested.
To lighten the mood a little, we are looking for you to share your favorite holiday cookie recipe with us. Our activities department has something special planned for the holiday, but we need your remote assistance – yes, your favorite cookie recipe. Please send the recipes to Megan Boran at mboran@wesleyenhancedliving.org.
In light of what transpired yesterday, we are going to pause accepting gifts, packages, flowers, etc. for all residents in the community. If a package arrives via FedEx, UPS or Amazon, that will be accepted. All other packages should not be delivered at this time. I anticipate this will change in a week or so.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
From the entire WEL PP community, we wish you a blessed, peaceful and Happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful for you and all you bring to our community. Please be careful, please be smart and please WEAR YOUR MASK, socially distance, and wash your hands, frequently.
Sincerely,
Suzanne H. Lachman
