Update for all WEL Upper Moreland Residents and Staff– 10/29/2020
We have learned that we have unfortunately had a positive COVID test for an Independent Living resident who now is hospitalized but will be returning to WEL Upper Moreland to quarantine for fourteen days upon release. The resident is experiencing mild symptoms and was likely to have been exposed during an offsite visit with family members.
We are working on contact tracing and will notify staff and residents who may have come in contact with this resident and keep them apprised of any necessary measures. If you are not contacted, you have not come in close contact. At this time, it appears that this resident’s interactions with others in the community has been minimal.
Please keep the resident in your thoughts while they recover.
Please continue to be vigilant while on and off campus; maintain social distance and facial covering if you are out of your apartment and wash your hands frequently in addition to using hand sanitizer. It is your best defense against this difficult virus. As always, please contact wellness with any concerns about your health.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.
